What to know before you follow them

Arsenal went two decades between league titles and the fanbase carries that. Expect passionate disagreement among supporters themselves about the club’s direction.

What people sing

  • The North Bank / Good Old Arsenal

Older terrace songs that still surface on big nights. Arsenal's crowd is quieter than some rivals until the game opens up.

  • Victory through Harmony

The club motto more than a chant, but you will see it on scarves and in how supporters talk about the team's style.

Who the rivals are

  • Tottenham Hotspur

The North London derby. Neighbours, shared history, and the fixture that defines the borough for both sets of supporters.

  • Chelsea

A London rivalry sharpened by recent title races rather than by shared streets.

Following them from America

Large and long established, especially on the east coast, with chapters that have been watching together since before the Emirates existed.
